Hello! My name is Tsion, and I’m from Ethiopia.
I’m passionate about sharing the beauty of the Amharic language and Ethiopian culture with learners from all around the world.
I know learning a new language can feel difficult, so I always create a warm, relaxed, and positive environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow with confidence. My goal is to help you enjoy the learning process while making real progress step by step.
When I’m not teaching, I love reading, exploring local markets, and learning about global cultures. I’m excited to meet you and support your Amharic learning journey!عني كمعلّم

Great lesson with Tsion! We practiced translating several sentences from English..without me looking at my notes. After that, Tsion we looked at the new Fidels that Tsion sent me before class. Tsion noticed that I was struggling to make the proper sound for some of them, so we worked extensively on pronunciation. I think that making the sounds properly is really important, so I'm glad that Tsion took the time to help me improve!

Super lesson with Tsion! We focused the lesson on learning more sets of Fidels. Tsion showed me how to write each one and how to pronounce it correctly. After that, Tsion had me write a few words using the new Fidels. I liked the way Tsion can shift the focus so that each lesson is fresh and exciting!

Super lesson with Tsion! We reviewed self-introductions and talked about inviting someone for lunch. Tsion also prepared a document on "at the restaurant" that had restaurant-related vocabulary and an example dialog. Tsion sent me the document in advance so that I could preview it before the lesson. Tsion always gives me positive feedback and encouragement to keep me motivated!

Super lesson with Tsion! I wrote out the Fidels that we learned and sent to Tsion for review. In class, Tsion showed me which Fidels I need to improve. After that, we learned some vocabulary and about making sentences. Tsion will recommend some Ethiopian music and dance for me to better appreciate the culture. Tsion always brings positive energy to her lesson and her friendly teaching style makes it easy to learn with her!

Super lesson with Tsion! We worked on introductions and talking about likes, hobbies and family. Tsion also gave me a detailed answer when I asked a question about the Fidels. Tsion is really focused on teaching and helping me improve. She has a great attitude and always motivates me!

Excellent lesson with Tsion! Before the lesson, Tsion sent me a pdf that she prepared on sentences as well as audio of the new vocabulary. Her sentences used vocabulary words that we learned in the last lesson, which I thought was a great idea. During the lesson, we went through the new pdf and Tsion checked my writing of the alphabet. Tsion is very friendly and enthusiastic about teaching. Her personality makes each class so enjoyable!
