I am 30 years old and from Florida, USA. I lived in Taiwan for 3 years and taught English at an international school, public elementary school, and an after-school program for kids. I currently live in Osaka, Japan where I worked as an English instructor for adults. Now I teach fully online, and get to meet people from all over the world. I am here to help you improve your spoken English. I also love learning languages, and the best way to do so is with a native speaker who can correct your grammar and pronunciation, teach you new phrases, and build your confidence through conversation practice. After each lesson you will have the new words and phrases in your italki inbox. Please review! While I have a TEFL certification and a master's and bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies, I bring a relaxed, friendly style to our classroom. My goal is to help build your confidence in the language so you can go out in real life and speak with native English speakers. Because I love learning languages, I bring that enthusiasm into our conversations. We get to learn from each other, and have a good time! It was my first lesson on italki and my first time speaking English with a native speaker. I was a bit nervous, but Kenny made me feel comfortable right away.
