Hi there! I'm Elodie, a native Swedish speaker currently living in Romania. I'm very open to talk about anything with anyone but my passions/interests include (global) politics, human rights, activsm, language learning, history and culture! I'm very social, bubbly and love a good debate.عني كمعلّم
I don't like to call myself a teacher because of the connotation in my brain. I see a teacher as someone traditionally teaching grammar structures in a classroom and having students study one long wordlist after the other, but that's just my perception! I'd call myself a tutor because I like to teach people Swedish informally and using all the creative means I can to get words and expressions to stick with them. Being a calm and patient person also makes me into an ideal tutor! دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I love non-formal education styles, so flashcards, chatting about routines, drawing and using any other creative ways to learn. I think a lot of negativity around language learning comes from the fact that people see it as something strict you have to succeed in within a certain amount of time. I find that the best approach is to build confidence in the target language and as a teacher be very encouraging to get the students out of their shells and start actively using the expressions and words they've passively learnt!موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I mostly need speaking practice, to broaden my vocabulary and to get rid of some typical mistakes I make. Elodie encouraged me to speak, gave me feedback and corrected my mistakes. She also took time to answer my questions. She is friendly and interesting to talk to and good at explaining things. I look forward to the next lessons.
