I have personally lived abroad for over 15 years, experiencing both the difficulties and the joys of learning a new language. This experience is my biggest asset in deeply empathizing with your learning journey.
I understand the 'fear of making mistakes,' which is common when learning a foreign language, better than anyone. Grammatical errors are absolutely no problem in my class! I am an experienced tutor, having taught Korean for over 2 years. My background includes extensive teaching experience both online and offline, complemented by several rounds of volunteer teaching for foreigners residing in Korea. 선생님 provides time to chat at the beginning of each lesson and then we go into the textbook to review exercises. Definitely helps me gain more confidence

Another great lesson with Sarah쌤. I asked if we could discuss AI so I could practice speaking about topics I don’t normally talk about, and she accommodated the request by bringing thoughtful insights and interesting points to the conversation. I learned new vocab and got to practice speaking a lot today. Looking forward to the next class!

We talk at the beginning which I really enjoy. Then we access the class material. She asks questions, I respond. And then we bounce off the material to help me create more sentences. I know a lot, but also so nervous at trying to form sentences and speaking so this structure helps me gain a little more confidence each time.
