Hello, my name is Faye and I’m from Los Angeles! I am proud of my Chinese heritage, and am passionate about helping my students bridge East-West cultures through language.عني كمعلّم
I am a TEFL-certified English teacher. Formerly at Renmin University of China (中国人民大学), I taught English conversation and academic writing to over 700 students. I love seeing the moment when students realize they can express themselves with confidence!
I graduated from Dartmouth College (达特茅斯学院，美国常春藤大学之一) and later practiced as a lawyer in the U.S. Throughout my career, I collaborated regularly with colleagues in China, Japan, Korea, Germany, and the UK. Through my professional experiences, I observed that certain aspects of the Chinese communication style were often met with confusion and misunderstanding in the U.S. That’s why I focus on helping Chinese professionals, business owners, and globally-minded students communicate smoothly with their Western colleagues, clients, and community.
