My name is Tanisha, I am from the Metro-Atlanta area. I am a first-year student at Emory University majoring in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. I love learning new languages and expanding my understanding of the ones I already know. My language background includes native proficiency in English and Hindi, with intermediate proficiency in Urdu and German. Outside of languages, I enjoy cooking, music, reading, and exploring linguistic anthropology.
Coming from a family of language teachers, I naturally developed a love for teaching. With prior experience teaching conversational English, my goal is to create a supportive and fun space where students can confidently work towards their goals!عني كمعلّم
As a teacher, I focus on helping students build confidence in their conversational skills. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and centered around real-life topics that match each student’s interests and goals. I encourage active speaking, natural sentence building, and practical vocabulary, while offering gentle corrections and helpful feedback.
