I'm Filippo — Italian tutor, philosophy graduate, and someone who has actually been where you are. Living across Europe and South America and speaking five languages taught me more about language learning than any textbook ever could. I know what works, what doesn't, and how to get you speaking with confidence faster than you'd expect.
I'm currently pursuing the CEDILS certification through the University of Venice Ca' Foscari — because great teaching is a craft worth mastering and I'm committed to bringing the best to every lesson. Forget the fear of making mistakes — in my lessons, mistakes are how we make progress. I create a calm, focused space where you can speak freely, experiment with the language, and actually enjoy the process.
Every session is tailored to your level, pace, and goals, blending clear grammar, vocabulary you'll genuinely use, and real-life situations that prepare you for the world outside the classroom. My lessons are designed around one goal: real, confident communication — fast. From the very first session, we focus on speaking, using natural Italian you can immediately apply in everyday life.
Grammar is introduced in context, so it sticks. Every lesson is built around three pillars: vocabulary that actually matters, grammar that makes you fluent faster, and cultural immersion that keeps you motivated.

Filippo is hands-down the best language instructor I've ever had, across any language. I've now had several classes with him and every one is engaging and perfectly tailored to me. He chooses very interesting topics and dialogues that sound like real conversation, rather than sticking to dry textbook exercises. Nothing feels rote or boring. Instead, I end up speaking naturally and learning a lot a long the way. I'm progressing faster than I thought possible, and I'm always looking forward to the next lesson! If you're serious about learing Italian quickly and in a fun and real way, book with Filippo. I can't recommend him enough!

My first lesson with Filippo was just as I needed it to be. He understands where I am with the language, my goals and he brings it all together with a good sense of humour. A great step for the way forward. I have had successfully used italki in the past and can recommended him with confidence.

I really enjoy my lessons with Filippo! He is so easy to talk to that the time just flies by. I like that the sessions feel personalized and relevant to me, rather than just following a generic textbook. He’s very supportive and always makes sure I understand everything before moving on. Truly an enjoyable experience every time!
