I am from Barcelona. I have lived in London, Okinawa (Japan) and now I am back to Spain. I live in Asturias, in the north of Spain. I love music and cats and...of course ¡languages! I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Japanese and a little bit of French. I have always been passionate about languages and teaching and I love sharing that passion with my students.عني كمعلّم
I have been a teacher for 20 years and I started teaching online classes 13 years ago. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language and I am a certified DELE examiner. I am confident with the use of new technologies for language teaching & learning. I use a communicative approach so I try to use real life communicative situations for learning and practicing the language so my students can start speaking Spanish from the first session. I make my own teaching materials so that I can adapt my classes to my students' needs and interests. I also include Spanish culture in my classes and so that my students can have an immersion experience if they want to. I have thousands of resources to give my students the possibility to gain independence and extend their learning experience beyond our classes. Would you like to know more? Mi primera clase con Lorena fue fantástica. Lorena preparó una clase de preparación para la DELE. Los recursos eran exactamente lo que necesitaba. Y también Lorena era una profe genial. Era paciente pero al mismo tiempo mantuvo el ritmo de la clase.

Good first lesson. I liked how she immediately wrote down in English words I didn't know, as a new and nervous learner, that made me feel more confident.

Lorena was amazing!! What a professional! She asked me what I thought I needed prior to class, was prepared for 2 options for lessons and explained everything in detail with patience. She verified to make sure I understood and gave me a great direction in which to move forward with my learning.
