I’m Sherin,
I was born in Germany. At the beginning of my twenties I moved to Paderborn to study. I did my Bachelors degree in English and American Literature and Culture and Media studies. Also I got my Masters degree in Media Studies.
I started tutoring when I was in 12th grade and I continued during my years at university. My students were mostly high school students but also students who were planning to come to Germany and wanted to prepare their language skills.عني كمعلّم
I tutor every student individually according to their goals and priorities. Whether you need to improve your writing, reading or communication skills we can tailor a strategy to reach your goals in the most effective way. Really enjoyable and challenging lesson. Sherin is charming but also very good at highlighting areas that need working on.

I've had lessons with Sherin for almost a year now. When I started I had just finished B1 and barely able to string sentences comfortably. Now, we typically have a conversation. I'm not fluent, but I'm very satisfied with my progress in no small part to Sherin. I think she is very good at gauging and adjusting to the student's level. When we started, we would read articles together and work on exercises. Now we have a full conversation every session. I noticed that she focuses on the areas of import and subtly pushes me toward refinement. For example, first we focused a lot on word order. At the same time, it was important for me to just get comfortable speaking, so other mistakes were overlooked. Now we focus on adjective declension. Word order is becoming second nature, and now I'm more mindful of using the right propositions/adjective endings. I highly recommend Sherin!
