Hello! My name is Paulo, an English and Portuguese tutor from Brazil and a passionate language learner.
I help students become more confident and natural when speaking through relaxed, conversation-focused lessons.
I learned much of what I know about languages through immersive learning based on real conversation and daily communication, and I bring the same approach to my classes.
My goal is to create a friendly environment where you can practice, make mistakes and gradually build fluency.
My interests include literature, cinema, games, sports, travel, philosophy, music and psychology. Let's share wisdom while we develop the languages!

I work as a translator for EC Innovations and regularly interact with foreign languages and international speakers.
I also give individual English classes for expatriates that come to Brazil for business.
My experience with English began in early through immersion in games, books, movies and news.
From 2017 to 2020 I interacted with exchange students and visiting professors at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), helping foreign students navigate between formal and everyday Portuguese.
I'm a co-author of the book Handbook of Venoms and Toxins of Reptiles (2nd Edition) edited by Stephen P. Mackessy.

My classes focus on natural conversation and fluency development.
I help students build confidence in English or Portuguese through immersive conversation inspired by the Natural Approach — learning the language the way it is actually used in daily life.
Lessons are personalized and planned according to your goals, difficulties and interests. I can prepare materials and guide our conversations to help you expand vocabulary and speak more naturally. Corrections are gentle and accent is not to worry.
We can talk about almost any topic (culture, daily life, ideas, hobbies), except politics.
