Hi, my name is Evelyn and I'm from Donegal in North West Ireland.
I have a Bachelors Degree in English Literature and a Post Graduate Diploma in TESOL.
I have travelled all over the world including to Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
I have taught children and adults. I have taught in evening schools, summer schools, a grammar school and I have done many private lessons during my travels.
I also taught English in a conversation school in Japan, where I lived for four years from 2016-2020. I can also speak Japanese.
I have a bubbly and outgoing personality and my hobbies including reading, yoga and meditation.
I also love animals and I am a vegetarian.عني كمعلّم
I have several years experience teaching one-to-one lessons and I think it's a great way to build trust between teacher and student, which makes for a comfortable learning environment.
I encourage you not to be afraid to make mistakes, because when you learn from your mistakes, that is how you progress.
I will do corrections throughout the lesson or at the end of the lesson, depending on the pace.
I will speak slowly and clearly, or at a fast and natural pace depending on your level.

I use lots of news articles and stories to generate topic ideas and teach vocabulary.
I ask a lot of questions to encourage you to talk, so that I can listen carefully and identify your weaknesses.
I will do corrections sometimes throughout the lesson, or else at the end, depending on the pace of the lesson.
I love talking myself and am happy to tell my stories and answer your questions, so you can get used to listening to a native speaker.
I can do free-talk, test preparation, proof-reading, grammar and vocab-based lessons and specific-topic based lessons.

Eve is such an excellent teacher. I'm always looking forward to our lessons. She creates a very good learning/talking atmosphere, she''s easy to talk to, has a good sense of humor and gives you the opportunity to shine in the conversation. She provides you with loads of topics to talk about. The conversations are always fun without the stressful feeling of being overly juged for minor mistakes. It's like talking to a good friend. <3
