I'm a passionate language learner and traveler from Salvador, Brazil.
Teaching and learning are my biggest passions in life. Others are literature, art, watercolor painting traveling, yoga, tarot and music.
I taught myself all of the foreign languages I know and I can help you do the same. My goal as a teacher is to provide and support you with resources so help you achieve your goal with kindness and patience.
I have lived and worked as a teacher in different cities across North and South America teaching all ages and therefore I am a mix of the culture of all of the places I have been. 🎒👣عني كمعلّم
🔺I encourage students to communicate with ease using language in a real-life context from the first lesson.
🔺I support students by making them feel in a safe space where they can practice the target language without the fear of being judged.
🔺I provide authentic material that connects with the student's interest and that will open their knowledge about the language, cultures and general topics so that they will be able to hold a conversation with anyone.
🔺I am very kind, patient and laidback and it reflects on my teaching style.

I use a communicative approach in my lessons. I bring material that will provide interesting and authentic content to the student and make them speak. It includes videos, dialogues, articles, literature books, etc.
I will focus on basic language structures at first and from there I will lead the student to communicate.
I aim to use the target language at least 95% of the lesson time.
Homework is usually related to action exercises such as preparing a short presentation, creating a vision board or anything that will help them speak and use what has been taught. But when it's needed I will also focus on structure (grammar).موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Bachelor's of Letters - Universidade Federal da Bahia - 2021A Bachelor of Letters (Bacharelado em Letras) is a university degree focused on the study of languages, literature, and linguistics. With this diploma, I specialized in Portuguese and French.
Certificate of Teacher's training (formation) - NUPEL - Universidade Federal da Bahia - 2019This is the certificate prooving that I completed a total of 840 hours of teacher training, teaching Portuguese as foreign language (PLE) and French at the NUPEL language center at the Federal University of Bahia. It was part of my BA in Letters. This training includes not only real teaching experiences with a range of students, but also hours of teaching theory with an experimented professor.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lesson with Felipe. I have been learning Portuguese for a long time, and it was a joy to finally study with some clear structure. I appreciate the time my teacher took to break down the grammar points in a way that I could understand. It’s also really important to me that I improve my accent and I’m confident that Felipe will be able to help me improve my speaking skills over the next few months. I also appreciate that Felipe provided key cultural context as why Brazilians speak in the way they do. I believe this will help me create deeper connections with my friends and their family members who don’t speak English. I can’t wait for my next lesson. Muito obrigada professor!
