I’m a qualified English teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching English to international students of all abilities (from A1 to C2). I’m from Cambridge, England but I moved to Scotland after years teaching in England and other European countries.عني كمعلّم
I have a wide variety of experience of teaching English. I am happy teaching you whatever your level of English is - from beginner to advanced. I've been teaching online (on italki) since 2016.
My teaching experience:
I have taught English for many years and will be able to help you whatever your level of English. My experience includes:
- General English and exam preparation online via italki
- General English, Academic English and IELTS preparation in colleges in Nottingham and Loughborough (England)
- General English and preparation for Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE, CPE) in language schools in Cambridge (England)
- Teaching school children in Switzerland

I have a flexible approach to teaching. This means I try to make each lesson suit what you need. Your lessons with me would include:
- a trial lesson and needs analysis questionnaire
- a plan for around 6 future lessons, based on your needs
- grammar and vocabulary revision and practice with written exercises, conversation and pictures
- introduction of new grammar and vocabulary
- work on pronunciation
- lots of speaking
- vocabulary and grammar tests
- exam strategy and practice, if required
- reading and writing tasks for homework (if you like)
- listening homework (published EFL audio files or BBC radio programmes)

I have been preparing for IELTS for nearly 6 months and finally, I passed it with overall score 7.5 (speaking 7.5 and writing 7). Jenny helped me a lot with the speaking part ,because not only do I think my vocabulary was expanded, but also she could notice all my grammar mistakes while speaking. As for the writing part, she explained me the right structure of the essays and the ways to increase complexity of sentences. Thank you!

Meeting Jenny today has been great. She's the type of person with whom you would feel comfortable speaking. She's professional, friendly, patient, and experienced. Thank you for the lesson, Jenny. I appreciate the focus on pronunciation and vocabulary, as well as the way we are progressively working on new sounds and dialogues in each session. The homework is also helpful, as it allows me to practise independently, do the additional work I need, and come to our lessons with specific questions. This really helps us make the most of our time together. I look forward to our next lesson!
