Yako-sensei is so sweet and helpful! She helped me speak in grammatically correct sentences and was quick to stop and explain the words she used when I didn't understand. I felt completely comfortable speaking and making mistakes because I knew that she would help me speak better. ありがとうございました、木村先生！

Another wonderful class and a great opportunity to practice my accent and conversation. I recently discovered Kimura sensei's podcast on spotify, and I like hearing it during work. She has such a pleasant voice! Thank you again for your patience and kind words.

Long-term Japanese language learner here. I can't recommend Yako highly enough: she's knowledgdable, professional, and always tailors lessons to the needs of her students. On top of that, she's also just a fun person to talk to!

I had my second session with Yako-sensei, and it was phenomenal. We focused on sentence construction and improving my listening and comprehension through interactive questions. She provided in-the-moment corrections along with very thorough explanations, which helped me understand my mistakes right away. She also answered all of my questions about vocabulary and grammar with patience and clarity. Overall, it was an excellent session, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.

My first introductory course with Yako was excellent. She quickly assessed my level of comprehension and focused on the best ways to help me continue building my skills. Yako clearly identified my goals and explained how she could support me in achieving them. She has a gentle, encouraging style—catching mistakes and correcting them in a nonjudgmental way.
