I am a Brazilian from Brasília-DF, and therefore I have a neutral accent when speaking Portuguese. Currently, I live in João Pessoa-PB. I have a degree in Computer Science and I love everything related to technology and innovation. I completed a postgraduate course in teaching Portuguese to foreigners and also have experience with preparing for proficiency exams, such as CELPE-Bras.
When I'm not learning new languages, I really enjoy watching sports on TV, especially soccer. Additionally, I like to stay updated on global politics and economics and see how people from different cultures react to problems. I am also a Youtuber.عني كمعلّم
I teach at all levels: from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced). Everyone is welcome, regardless of your race, color, gender, nationality, age, religion, or sexual orientation. I love teaching the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture.
During the classes, I like to create a pleasant and supportive environment for learning. Don't be afraid to make mistakes during the classes; they are what will help you learn. I also prepare my students for exams such as Celpe-Bras.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In the Portuguese classes, we will work on the four language skills: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. You'll not only learn the language, but also a lot of culture. I'll give you lots of tips so that you always feel confident when you speak Portuguese.

I have had 166 lessons with Diego. I keep coming back because he is an amazing teacher. He has brought me from no Portuguese to being able to converse fluently (I still make a lot of errors, but I am easily understood). I am so happy with my results with Diego. And the lessons are fun!

Diego is a gem of a portuguese teacher. I was trying to learn on my own, and was too shy to try to speak much with others. Diego has been so encouraging, and I feel so supported to grow my confidence in expressing myself. He is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable in the Brazilian portuguese language. For example, he taught me the proper pronunciation of the vowels using exercises of putting my hand on my throat to feel the J of jacare. He can also break down to explain the many subtle exceptions to rules.
Most importantly, he is patient, kind, engaging, open minded, and all around makes learning fun for me. I'm so grateful for him offering his time and service on this platform. Check out his youtube page too! Highly highly recommend. - Justin

Diego is a fantastic teacher. He is friendly, calm, and patient and he always puts his students needs first. When I practiced speaking in Portuguese, I felt like I could make mistakes and he would correct them without judgment. I also really liked the way that he would type out what I was saying as I was saying it--this helped my pronunciation, my understanding of grammar, and just generally aided my progress in the language. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking to study Portuguese.

Diego is a great teacher! He's patient, structured and funny- and remembers details about our previous lessons to connect threads across sessions. He shares a lot about the cultural context of Brazil, and makes the info relevant to our conversations. Diego always encourages questions, and gives thorough background for answers, which helps me remember and retain info. I'm grateful to be learning with him :)
