I'm an accomplished educator, translator and transcriber in Portuguese, English and French with over 8 years of experience, hailing from the state of Goiás in Brazil. I have a Bachelor's degree in Languages (French and Francophone studies major) and I am currently a Master's degree student in Cultural Studies in France. Immersed in the picturesque city of Bordeaux for more than 3 years now, I've embraced its cultural treasures, complementing my diverse background in music, art and culture.عني كمعلّم
Throughout my teaching tenure, I've engaged with various age groups and proficiency levels in Portuguese, English, and French. Beginning as an English tutor for high school and college students, I progressed to teaching English across different skill levels and facilitating dynamic conversation classes at a professional institution. I also had the privilege of serving as a Portuguese language tutor for France Éducation Internationale, an initiative backed by the French government. In 2019, I transitioned to online instruction, mentoring children aged 4-12 in English while also leading French as a Foreign Language (FLE) sessions for small groups and individuals ranging from A2 to C1 levels.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Language learning has to be fun! That’s why we will always talk about things that interest and inspire you. If we’re practicing grammar or just talking about something else, I want to make it interesting for us and link the grammatical and formal terms to real-life subjects. Therefore, your emotional filter will be open and as a result your journey will be fun and enriching.
During our first trial lesson, I will make sure to understand your goals, what you like, and how you learn best. I always keep in mind that everyone is different, so I adjust my material for each student. I have had a few more lessons with Lucas, and I am still very much enjoying practicing both my French and Portuguese with him! I have requested discussions on specific topics, and he has showed up prepared. I'm very impressed and I am getting a lot out of my lessons. Thank you Lucas!

What a refreshing class! May I just start by saying that it was an absolute pleasure to meet Lucas. I felt very nervous at first, but he was very warm and encouraging, and that is something I really appreciated. Lucas is a very patient and engaging teacher. During the lesson, he presented his course in a very professional way. I have to say that I was feeling super motivated because of how encouraging he was once I told him about my goals. He made me feel like they were attainable and it’s so nice to feel this as a language learner. After all, when stepping out of one’s comfort zone, all you need is a down-to-earth and competent guide like Lucas. All in all, he is really easy to work with. Really fond of the atmosphere, the vibe, and his style of teaching. Thank you very much Lucas! I appreciate not only your dedication and kindness, but also all that you offer :) I look forward to working with you in our next sessions :)

I've been practicing French with Lucas for a few years now and he continues to be so supportive and helpful. I first started working with Lucas to prepare for a trip to France, and now I'm hoping to take my B1 exam. He is always patient and prepared with helpful materials.

Lucas est un prof parfait, une heure de discussion pleine des choses enrichissantes, c’était une heure de mutualisation des expériences sur le monde virtuel, je suis fier de lui faire connaissance, il est aimable, amicale, très proche et trop gentil. Je vous recommande sans doute de réserver votre première leçon avec Lucas et vous aurez jamais de regrets :)

Lucas is a wonderful teacher. He is very patient and warm and attentive to your needs as a student. He focuses on teaching through conversations that are very relevant to my language goals and uses presentations, slideshows, and different websites as tools to teach me Portuguese. The design of his curriculum is very logical and perfectly paced; it allows me to use what we practiced right away in other settings! Overall very happy with Lucas, I would recommend him to anyone trying to learn Portuguese.
