Hi! I’m Ivonne from México, I’m a patient and empathetic person. I’m interested in topics related to healthy living, travel, hobbies, what inspires people, and more. I enjoy reading, working out (especially BJJ and weightlifting), watching movies and series, playing board games, and occasionally some video games. One of my favorite plans is visiting a local café with friends to chat and connect.
I love teaching my language, culture, and everything that Spanish embraces. I speak very clearly and my pronunciation is easy to understand. I have experience with one-on-one and group conversation classes. I believe learning a new language is also about opening up to new ways of seeing the world, and I love supporting my students on that journey.
My classes focus on real and meaningful communication. In addition to teaching grammar and vocabulary, I emphasize conversation, helping students build confidence and improve their listening skills. I use learning materials like games, conversation activities, real-life situations, articles, images, and a personalized document for each student that includes a record of the session with corrections, new vocabulary, and exercises. Having Mexican roots but not having been exposed to the country and culture’s history and development, I have often felt left out in conversations and somewhat disconnected from my Mexican family and friends. Ivonne is helping me bridge that nuanced gap with far deeper insight than I’ve ever pursued, all while discovering the bits of grammar and vocabulary I’ve been missing. Fascinating conversation today on the topic of International Women’s Day, its marches, its purpose and musings on the varying degrees of the woman experience worldwide ❤️ Thank you with all my heart!
