I work mainly with adult learners and have taught 3,000+ lessons.
My goal is to help you feel comfortable while making real, steady progress in Italian.
Lessons are flexible and adapt to you. We can work on grammar, vocabulary, and accuracy, or focus on natural conversation to build fluency and confidence. Often, the best results come from a mix of both.
I focus on clear explanations, natural expression, and Italian as it is really spoken in everyday life.
Whether you’re learning Italian for work, relocation, travel, or personal interest, I adapt lessons to your goals and pace.
My lessons are relaxed and welcoming. You don’t need to be perfect — mistakes are part of learning.
In my studies, I've discovered effective techniques for learning and enhancing language comprehension. These methods are something we can work on together to help you achieve the level of proficiency you desire. I'm excited to assist you, starting from your current level and guiding you towards further progress.
As your tutor, our sessions will feature engaging conversations where I'll teach you new phrases, vocabulary, and modern idioms. We'll select topics based on your interests to aid learning. I can adjust my speaking pace to suit your preference, and we'll use tools like flashcards, texts, videos, and articles to enhance comprehension. Before going to Italy, Ivan taught me some useful words and sentences, ordering Italian food, customs tax refund, and hotel check-in are all very helpful. This time begins to learn grammar systematically again. After all, there are no shortcuts to learning a language. With a teacher as interesting and professional as Ivan, I think grammar is not boring at all, and he always patiently helps me remember and correct it. Great teacher.grazie mille.

For someone who is very nervous about speaking Italian I am made to feel relaxed. After two lessons I think my nerves are diminishing.

I look forward to being in a position whereby I can speak Italian with more confidence when I go back to Italy later in the year.
