Bonjour! I'm a native certified professional teacher of French. I have 23 years of experience teaching adults, online and in different countries (France, Syria, Romania, Japan), and from different nationalities and of all levels and needs. I help students learn and improve reading, listening, conversation, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, as well as French for specialized purposes (medical, technical, job search, etc.).
My studends and I enjoy discussing topics in art, culture, literature, movies, technology, economics, humanities, history, work, education, lifestyle and, yes, politics!
I’m a student of languages myself, and currently studying Japanese and Italian.عني كمعلّم
As a teacher, when a student speaks, I could summarize my approach as both friendly and firm listening. Friendly because I listen attentively, empathetically, and respectfully (I don't cut them off, I note errors or other appropriate wording in the chat). At the same time, I analyze all the mistakes I hear, whatever their nature, in order to ask for clarifications, correct them, and then propose an alternative.
For students who want to improve their writing skills, I aim to bring out the unique writing style of each student by focusing on vocabulary, syntax, verb tense and mood, sentence structure, and grammar while providing timely input on approach and articulation.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

I appreciate the practice I get to have with Luc, and it has dramatically improved my French. I’ve just landed my first bilingual tech job where French fluency was necessary. I’ve been taking classes with Luc for three years now and our session is always a highlight of my week. When we started working together I was not at all confident and I made a lot of grammatical errors. Thanks to Luc’s good humour, encouragement, and practical advice I now feel much more at ease using French. There are always new things to learn, and new mistakes to make, but classes with Luc are hugely entertaining, not least because he goes out of his way to find materials that will interest me. I’ve learnt about French culture and society, as well as about the French language, and I’m always impressed by how generous Luc is with his time and energy. He’s an exceptional teacher and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

J'ai pris deux séances pour mon CV et ma lettre de motivation avec Luc et ça a été au-delà de mes attentes. Il est très patient, réfléchi et accorde beaucoup d'attention aux détails. A chaque fois, il m'a donné plein de conseils pertinents. Et en classe, nous avez discuté de chaque point afin que les documents soient plus adaptés à ma situation réelle et au poste auquel je souhaite postuler. Après deux modifications, mon CV et ma lettre de motivation sont beaucoup plus claires et convaincants. Donc pour ceux qui voudraient améliorer les documents administratifs, je vous recommande fortement de le contacter !
