I can help you prepare for Cambridge exams (KEY, PET, FCE, CAE, IELTS) and TOEFL, help your writing, speaking and communication skills as well as help you refine your pronunciation and fluency.
I also offer proofreading services and have experience reviewing and revising scientific papers that have been published in renowned academic journals.
24-hour cancellation policy: If you have to re-schedule the classes, please do so with at least 24 hours advance notice in order to allow other students to reserve a lesson at that time. If you have to cancel within 24 hours, the italki credits will be transferred. Thank you for understanding! دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
The following changes will be effective starting on 27th of March:
- The duration of lesson times will now be 25 minutes, 50 minutes, and 80 minutes.
This is in order organize and share materials in a timely manner, take post-lesson notes, and prepare for upcoming lessons.
- Note that the italki system will still show lesson times as 30, 60, and 90 minutes. However, lesson time duration will be as previously described.
- 45 minute classes are no longer available.

English Language InstructorUniversity teaching demands dedication to the teaching craft, a high degree of professionalism and consistent practice of sound pedagogical approaches to instruction. Teaching at UDEP undoubtedly enriched my understanding of what it means to be a teacher and helped me recognize the challenges that students ages 16-22 face by balancing their studies, work, and personal circumstances. Many students choose italki to learn a language to achieve that balance, and I can help them be productive!

Full-Time InstructorUntil recently I was working at the local university in the city I live in as a full-time language instructor. In addition to the duties as a language instructor to students studying to be language teachers themselves ("Pedagogía de idiomas nacionales y extranjeros) were also to design courses on digital learning platforms, direct theses, revise academic texts, and carry out research projects.

Jonathan always tries to focus on the topics I’m interested in, and he listens to me very well. Even though we use a textbook, the class is never boring. We can still have free and natural conversations, so I always enjoy the lesson and look forward to it 🙂

To anyone thinking about studying English in the new year,
I want to improve my English, but I often feel afraid of speaking because I don’t want to make mistakes.
Talking with Jonathan has helped me feel more comfortable and confident over time. What I like most is the way he corrects my English.
Even when I make mistakes, he corrects them naturally, without breaking the flow of the conversation or making me feel awkward.
He also helps me improve my expressions by building on what I already say, instead of completely changing my sentences.
This has been very helpful for me.
Another thing I appreciate is that his homework is always personalized to my interests, which makes studying more enjoyable.
I know from experience that finding a good tutor is not easy, so starting lessons with Jonathan is something I feel really good about.
If you’re Korean and especially afraid of making mistakes in English, I highly recommend starting lessons with Jonathan without hesitation 😊
