Hello there!
My name is Leonardo Fonteles I'm 25 years old now, and I have been teaching Portuguese and English for around seven years, (it was a hobby), but it turned out that it became my profession. I've always loved to learn languages and knowing people from different cultures and countries, and teaching I met amazing people all over the world.

Meu nome é Leonardo Fonteles e tenho 25 anos, ensino Português e Inglês a mais ou menos 7 anos, no começo era um hobby, mas acabou se tornando minha profissão. Eu sempre amei aprender idiomas e conhecer pessoas de outros países e culturas diferentes, e ensinando idiomas eu tive a oportunidade de conhecer pessoas incríveis pelo mundo.عني كمعلّم
I am very determined and patient, if your goal will be to become fluent in Portuguese that will be my goal as well. I am always in a good mood and with a lot of material and topics for us to discuss and improve the language. I'm also open to help you to all your needs and doubts about the language, in and out of the class.
Eu sou bem determinado e paciente, se o seu objetivo é falar inglês fluente então esse também será meu objetivo. Estou sempre de bom humor e com muito conteúdo e assuntos para conversarmos e praticarmos enquanto aprimoramos o idioma. Leonardo was the best teacher I've had on iTalki. He was VERY patient and kept us talking in Portuguese the whole time, with me knowing very little Portuguese. If you want to learn Portuguese fast and have fun doing it, he is the perfect teacher to do so!

Leonardo é muito conversador e sempre consegue fazer aulas interessantes. Eu sinto que ele sinceramente gosta de conhecer seus estudantes e da suas experiências na vida. Por cima de isso, ele tem um bom sentido de que tipo de assuntos lhe interessam a você e usa esses assuntos para te ensinar português.

As a teacher myself, I'm pretty critical of other teachers' skills. Leonardo knows what he's doing. He speaks clearly and at an appropriate level. He pinpointed my weaknesses (even if I try to hide them), gears lessons towards improving them, and makes recommendations I would also make, were I the teacher. He also offers additional, personalised support, and is always on time.
In this lesson, he had me speak the whole hour about my favourite sport (a topic I love to talk about), as speaking is where I need to improve. I learned/refreshed a lot of vocabulary that I will need when I compete in Brazil.
