Abdulwahed

Abdulwahed is the BEST teacher in the WORLD! I have never heard of a teacher who uses such a wide variety of tools, including videos, songs and humor. He always asks me to approach a lesson in fresh ways and from many angles to make sure the ideas are clicking in my mind, and he is very encouraging. I always receive compliments on how well I speak Arabic from native speakers, and I know that's because of him.

I take lessons in Spoken Arabic with Abdulwahed on a regular basis since two years now and can wholeheartedly recommend him and his teaching methods! He is encouraging and supportive and uses a variety of well thought-trough materials which he partly produces himself. To revise he always sends after the lesson the part of the materials which was done during the lesson. Moreover, during the lesson he uses screen-sharing in order to enable me to view what we are doing. Particularly useful for revision and in order to improve pronounciation are also the short sound-clips he records and drops on the go during the lesson. He might not be the cheapest Arabic-teacher on Italki, but I think he is worth every penny, especially as he puts much more work in your progress than just teaching during the lesson (preparing materials/revising homework). His teaching style goes far beyond just talking and chit-chat, but he really drills you constantly and revises the stuff done!

Abdulwahed is a FANTASTIC teacher! I have progressed much more quickly with his lessons than in previous offline classes. He uses a custom lesson plan that he puts a lot of time and thought into and it has made a huge difference to my rate of learning. One thing I love about Abdulwahed's lessons is the combination of theory with practical application. The lesson plan is based on a progression of grammatical concepts, but the lessons and homeworks themselves are all based on immersive conversation, so you get comfortable very quickly with applying the language (reading, listening, and speaking on the spot) while gaining comprehension about the language that builds on itself. The pace is great- he moves quickly enough that each lesson is challenging for me, but also makes sure that each concept is reinforced sufficiently to the point that I understand and can apply it. Abdulwahed is definitely one of the best teachers I have had in several years of learning languages!

Abdulwahed is an absolutely amazing teacher with a very keen eye for the teaching of languages and a strong drive to constantly help push you to the next level. His lessons are extremely refined and well prepared and he works with you to help meet your goals. He is very pleasant and makes the lessons fun and engaging by using a variety of real-world texts and clips. He is very generous with his time. I highly recommend him for anyone looking to learn Arabic !
