สวัสดีค่ะ / Sawatdii ka! I’m Cherry, a certified Thai teacher with over 8 years of experience and more than 2,000 online lessons taught. I specialise in helping beginners decode Thai script and supporting students preparing for a residency interview or daily life in Thailand.
I hold a Master’s from New Zealand and am now doing a PhD in learning sciences. Outside class, I enjoy café hopping, temple visits, and Netflix nights. I understand the importance of balancing learning with real life, and I bring that same understanding into my lessons.

I’m a patient, positive, and passionate teacher who believes language learning should feel encouraging, not overwhelming. With a degree in Education and a certification in Teaching Thai to Foreigners, I’ve helped learners from all over the world, from complete beginners to advanced students preparing for residency or professional goals.
My strength is adapting to each learner’s pace and needs. Whether you’re shy about speaking, confused by Thai script, or just not sure where to begin, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you step by step. This is my 20th lesson with cherry. It has been extremely enjoyable and engaging so far. The lessons are very personalised and my vocabulary has increased tremendously over the past 1.5 months. My listening and pronunciation has improved as well. Looking forward to more useful and fun lesson. 😃

Es war meine erste Probestunde und ich bin begeistert von Kru Cherry. Sie ist eine sympathische Lehrerin, sehr strukturiert, ermutigt mit Fragen, geht auf die Probleme ein, erkennt sofort woran man arbeiten kann, erstellt einen individuellen Plan und hat nicht auf die Zeit geachtet. My first lesson with Kruu Cherry was excellent, she was very precise in understanding my level of language skills and made clear plans on how to meet my learning goals., This may sound a bit formal and even boring but the atmosphere and teaching style was fun, well paced and enjoyable. I will certainly be taking more lessons with Kruu Cherry

This is my 15th lesson with Kruu Cherry. We continue to practice reading and are now beginning to incorporate writing. I'm still amazed to have made it this far -- and to keep going! Kruu Cherry is an excellent teacher. She is dedicated, collaborative, and adapts to individual students' learning goals and needs. Our conversation topics vary widely, and I enjoy learning new terms or cultural notes that come up in our lessons. Thank you Kruu Cherry. :)
