I’m a father in my 40s with two children, and I’ve been happily married since 2007. I was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and I’m a native English speaker. I’m also learning my wife’s native language from the Philippines, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language.
My parents migrated from Sri Lanka in the 1970s, and I value cultural diversity and communication. I hold a Level 5 TEFL certification and am qualified to teach English online and in the classroom. As a former italki student, I understand the learning process and enjoy helping others build confidence.

I’m a qualified ESL teacher focused on helping students become confident and independent English speakers. My teaching style is relaxed, conversational, and tailored to each student. I create a comfortable environment where you can speak freely and improve naturally.

Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language - The TEFL Academy - 2022The course is a total of 168 hours which qualifies me to teach professionally throughout the world either online or in the classroom. With the entire course completed you can teach both children, teens and adults of all language levels and backgrounds.
