I've been going to lessons with chị Thuong for a few months now, and I'm super happy with my progress! I'm improved so much more at listening to conversations and speaking in Vietnamese than I did from using Duolingo every day for 2 years, and I've never looked back. She has the perfect amount of structure in her lessons, she has professional grade materials for students to access, she can teach all levels with skill (I started as a beginner and am now more upper intermediate), and you will be speaking Vietnamese from the start. Thuong is always very actively listening to what your needs are as a student and assisting as best as she can to work with your skill level. I am only dedicating one day a week to learning Vietnamese; however, I can confidently say that after a few months I am confident in the ability to understand Vietnamese and speak it, albeit slowly.
