Hi, my name is Mariko. I am from Chiba which is near Tokyo where I studied for my science degree and worked.
I have a great passion for health, which led me to Australia where I also studied and worked. I understand how it feels to learn a second language as this was a requirement for me in order to live/study/work in Australia. My experience in learning a second language has given me a passion to teach Japanese to people who seek to learn.عني كمعلّم
I am here for you to support your journey of Japanese. I understand how it feels to learn a second language as this was a requirement for me in order to live/study/work in Australia. My goal for my students is to make the lesson fun and relevant. In my lessons, please do not be afraid of making mistakes. Instead, we will focus on “communication” and I will encourage you to express yourself in your word.

In my lessons, YOU will decide how fast you progress the course. I will alter my teaching style and give you a guide depending on your goals.
1. I have a structured course using my PowerPoint slides and textbooks (Genki), which are suitable for beginners and for those who have basic Japanese skills but want to refresh their knowledge. You will be given PDF files and some tools to remember new vocabulary when necessary. If you like, I will give you homework as well.
2. The second course is for a conversational practice where you and I practice what you have learned during the course. Throughout the lesson, you will receive guidance and tips in pronunciation and application for daily use.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Mariko sensei is a wonderful teacher. She has been very organized and goes at the pace you set for yourself. The more effort you put, the more she will give you. She encourages you to express yourself with the vocabulary you have (very realistic.) she’s very organized, always on time, and makes you feel comfortable to try even if you’re not sure. I am not afraid of making mistakes in sensei’s class, because I know I will only learn and improve, her feedback is on point and very kind. Not too much/ too little, it’s just right. She explains things really well and keeps repeating over and over until you understand well. She’s very attentive and personalizes the class based on your weaknesses to help you be well rounded. In class, I get to practice writing, reading, listening and speaking. I’m confident that I can reach my Japanese goals with Mariko sensei. I look forward to every class. どもありがとうございますまりこせんせい🙇🏻♀️(note: i had 3 jap teachers before but Mariko sensei has been the best for me).

Mariko san is absolutely the best teacher for my son Timothy. Mariko san always prepared. During her class she is able to do different activities - new kanji review, writing, grammar, reading and even there is time for fun games. Simply the best Japanese teaching experience and my son loves it too. Thank you Mariko-san.

Mariko-sensei is an excellent grammar teacher and I can't recommend her highly enough! My Japanese has gotten so much better since I've started taking lessons with Mariko-sensei. I learn a lot in every class and I feel much more confident now speaking and creating sentences than I did a year ago. まりこ先生、ありがとうございました！
