Thank you for visiting my iTalki profile. I am Lana, a certified UK primary school teacher with 16 years of teaching experience, including nine years specialising in online English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tuition. My professional background includes seven years of in-person teaching across a range of educational settings, including mainstream UK schools, a prestigious preparatory school in London, and an international school in Hong Kong. I have worked with both children and adult learners.
My expertise as a primary educator enables me to deliver well-structured, interactive lessons designed to develop speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.عني كمعلّم
I value each student as an individual and strive to make my classes inclusive and enjoyable. I believe the best learning happens when we are having fun!
I transitioned to online teaching with italki in 2017, which has given me the flexibility to continue doing what I love while balancing family life.

Most students begin with a trial lesson so we can get to know each other and decide if I’m the right tutor for you or your child. Please message me before the trial lesson so I can plan a session tailored to your needs.
I teach during the English school term time and do not offer lessons during school holidays (Easter, Christmas, or August).

Lana is the best teacher I’ve found on italki! With her early education background and experience teaching in top schools in the UK, Hong Kong, and Japan, she combines a perfect British accent, a naturally warm and clear voice, and genuine patience and love for children.
From the very first lesson, I was impressed—she managed to cover vocabulary, sentences, reading, and phonics all within half an hour, making every minute count. That’s why I immediately booked as many lessons as possible.

Lana is our kid's teacher for months now and I can confidently say that our daughter (6y) loves her. She keeps asking for longer lessons. Lana combines teaching English with the primary school curriculum so it is 2 birds with one stone.

My son is 12, and without a doubt, he was captivated by Lana from the very first lesson. He genuinely enjoys learning English with her because she makes it so interesting. Lana is an excellent teacher. It has already been five years since my daughter started having classes with her. She has always been kind, attentive and sensitive with my daughter. We were very lucky to find her. Regarding her teaching abilities, it couldn't be better. In addition to being a professional teacher, she is always worried about finding interesting subjects for her students: things that they want to talk about or have an interest in to learn more about.
