Mariel seems to have the patience of a saint. There are times in language learning where there are words and phrases that you haven't learned yet or you've learned and can't mentally access in the moment. It's very frustrating, but I like to try first, so I really appreciated that Mariel allowed me to be the type of learner that I am, which is to search my memory-bank or look in the dictionary (my choice) so that I could finish my chopped up thought, before she wrote the sentence correctly in order for me to review offline. To me, that's an exceptional quality and I actually felt like I grew in my one hour session with her.

I am writing this in English so that prospective students will be able to read it. Mariel and I always have great conversations on a huge range of topics...from development and politics to motorcycles and jokes. She manages to correct my errors without interrupting the flow of conversation, which is a tough trick to pull off. I very much recommend her as a tutor.
