Hi! I’m Tana Monk—a native English teacher specializing in helping kids and teens master reading, grammar, and confident conversation. With my 160 hours TEFL/TEYL certification and 8+ years of experience teaching students from Poland to China, I’ve learned how to make English fun and effective for both young and adult learners. As an American-Filipino who’s lived in Canada, the USA, the Philippines, and New Zealand, I bring a global perspective to lessons. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me playing baseball (yes, I’m a National Team player!), coaching softball, exploring new foods, or cuddling my dogs. - I specialize in teaching students from 5-18 years old.
- I also offer classes to adults who want to improve their travel English, business English, everyday English, and more!

Once you schedule your trial lesson, I will assess your oral speaking, and we can talk about the areas you need to work on. Even if you decide not to take more lessons with me, this trial will give you an excellent idea of where you need to improve!
My courses focus on Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening. I can help you improve these skills through visual materials, including short readings, dialogues, listening tasks, comprehension questions, and discussion time. Mock tests and homework may be given as well.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Today is my daughter‘s 16th lesson w/ Ms Tana, persistently once a wk（re：9yrs old）. I have to say ⋯ I’ve no regret in choosing you as her English teacher so far. My daughter is quite a shy and reserved little one ⋯ but Ms Tana can make her TALK！A very creative, patient, interactive & WELL PREPARED teacher she is. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED！！

First, I wanna say thank you, Tana, and so honored to meet you here, and I'm so grateful to teach me a lot of things and correct my grammar even though sometimes I would make some mistakes, you always are so patient for me and try to repeat many times until I fully understand, I really appreciate you do everything for me and share a lot of things about baseball and life, so I'm about to go New Zealand and start my new journey, but I'll make some time for joining your class as soon as I can, hope see you soon Tana!!

We LOVE Tana - she is fantastic. Our girls are native English speakers but are benefiting from extra support with reading and writing in English. Tana is awesome at keeping our 7 year old giggly girls engaged and enjoying their lessons the whole 45min - a miracle. We are Tana fans through and through - looking forward to more lessons to come.
