Shalom! I'm Tamar, a 37-year-old mother to Lenny and Liam, and the partner of Barak. We live in Portugal, where time moves at a more leisurely pace, allowing us to truly savor each moment and connect deeply with the rhythm of life. In addition to being mother and partner, I am also a speech therapist, Hebrew teacher, Hatha Yoga teacher, and mindfulness practitioner. My journey into language and communication began at a young age, fueled by a desire to bridge gaps and foster understanding among people. This passion led me to pursue a career where I could help others unlock the power of language and connect with each other on a deeper level.عني كمعلّم

I had a great time! The conversation felt natural and flowed well, Tamar adjusted really well to my level of speech/fluency, and she kept a running tab of all the new words/grammar mistakes/etc. that we went over during the lesson so I could review after. She also sent me some homework to do. Overall, really fun lesson and after only one lesson I'm already feeling really good about these lessons!

Tamar gave me the perfect first lesson! Calm, patient and very empathetic, she made me feel at ease and motivated me even when the language got harder. She also chose some great materials for us to start practising with. It was a super fun lesson.

Tamar is an exceptional teacher! She is very good at making interesting conversation at your current level, I had a great conversation with her even though my vocabulary is extremely limited. She also does the best thing a language teacher can do—she could sense when I was thinking through something, and let me take my time using the words I *do* know to express a thought. Lots of language teachers interrupt you to tell you the right way to say something, but learning is 10x more effective if your teacher lets you struggle through it. I was trying to figure out how to conjugate a verb, and she told me other verbs that are like it, instead of just telling me the answer, which is great because it lets me really internalize patterns in hebrew. ok bye!
