Shalom! I'm Tamar- a speech therapist, Hebrew teacher, Hatha Yoga teacher, and mindfulness practitioner living in Portugal, where the slower pace of life has taught me that real connection happens when we stop rushing and start listening.
I'm a mother and a partner, and everything I do comes back to the same thing: helping people feel more at home in themselves- and in the language they're trying to speak.
Over the past decade, I've worked with actors preparing for Israeli roles, business professionals expanding into new markets, Jewish communities reconnecting with their roots, and individuals who simply want to speak Hebrew the way it was meant to sound- alive, natural, and effortless.
My approach isn't built on grammar tables or flashcards. It's inspired by the way we all learned our first language- through immersion, intuition, and a sense of play. Students who come to me frustrated or stuck often leave surprised by how quickly something clicks when the pressure is removed.
Whether you're starting from zero or coming back to a language that already lives somewhere inside you, I'll meet you exactly where you are.
I also work with accent reduction- because the way we sound shapes how we're heard, and everyone deserves to be heard clearly.
