Shalom! My name is Eli, I’m 33 years old and I’m from Israel. I am a professional language teacher and a translator. I love traveling, food, cooking, music, the beach, animals in general and dogs in particular. I recently came back to Israel after a one year travel in Asia, in which I was teaching and translating on the go; Now I am a full time teacher, and I am ready to take your language skills to the next level. I love meeting new people and learning about new cultures, and I discovered that it’s also a great topic when teaching/learning a new language :)عني كمعلّم
I am a professional language teacher; I’ve worked in Avital School in Merom Golan, Danziger School in Qiryat Shemona and Israel’s leading English evening school, High-Q. I have a B.A. in psychology from Tel-Hai College and a B.Ed. in English teaching in Ohalo College.
I love my job! I love English, I love Hebrew, and I love explaining them. I specialize in spoken language, pronunciation and conversation, but we can also work on grammar or anything that you feel will boost your confidence and improve your language skills. Talking, talking and more talking! My experience taught me that in 99% of cases - speaking, repeating, simulating real-life situations and using improvised examples - work better than practicing grammar and talking about rules. This is a method that aims at implementing a language in its native form, and I am experienced in making it work :)
My lessons are fun! I truly believe that when we enjoy we do everything better, including acquiring new knowledge. Eli is a great Hebrew tutor! He makes learning very practical to my everyday life and conversations, providing helpful explanations, practice and homework. I have improved a lot in just a few lessons!

I have been taking Hebrew lessons with Eli through Italki for nearly 6 years. He’s fun and patient and has a good understanding of one’s level in Hebrew. He also speaks very good English. Our lessons are usually part conversation and part going over homework.

In just a few weeks you will see improvements with Eli. He takes a very practical approach to teaching the language. Focusing on conversations and interactions as compared to rote memorization of grammatical rule. The grammar is contextualized and thus easier to remember and apply. If you prioritize speaking above all else, he’s your guy.
