죠니 Joni

I've been taking lessons with Joni for a little over a year at this point and it's the best! Over the ~70 lessons I've done, she's always brought a great energy and helped me to get through the tough learning points where you feel like giving up. The notes she gives are very thorough and it's cool to look back and see all of the progress I've made over the months. I would recommend Joni to anyone looking to learn Korean!

Joni is great! I can tell she is committed. I am very new to learning and was having trouble with pronunciation. She gave me good advice and described how to make the desired sound. She even made a video for me so that I can practice. 10/10!!!

I really enjoyed this first session and had a lot of fun! I think it's amazing how I learned grammar points and vocabulary through explanations in Korean, which was so helpful! I couldn't have believed it was possible until I met 조니님! In the first 5 minutes, I was already speaking more than I thought I could, even if it was imperfect. I felt comfortable listening and was amazed by my own abilities. Going forward, I think I'll improve a lot! 정말 감사합니다!!

I really enjoy Joni as both a teacher and a person. (Note: It was our first time meeting, and my level is high enough that I can hold basic conversation.) As a teacher, she met my desire to focus on conversation and did a most excellent and creative job to help me understand without translating to English. As a person, she has a wonderful energy that makes you feel comfortable and a charisma that keeps you engaged. I look forward to continue classes together! :)
