¡Hola a todos! I'm Marisol, an English and Spanish Teacher. I'm Venezuelan and Chilean. I'm patient, communicative and very organized. I've been teaching online lessons for over 7 years and onsite classes for more than 13 years to learners of all ages (kids, teens, and adults). I'm passionate about teaching both Spanish and English. I like teaching both, English and Spanish using real resources such as videos, images, audios to guide the learner into real and communicative contexts. The most important fact when learning a foreign language is to have direct contact with it and the culture it represents; in this way, the learners can interact in a real context with the language they want to master. That is why, when teaching Spanish and English, I take into account the development of the four skills (oral production, listening, reading and writing).

The teacher is wonderful—she explains things clearly, is always patient, and very motivating. The lessons are interesting, with lots of speaking practice, and the atmosphere is very friendly.

I really look forward to my Spanish lessons with Mari, she is great at embedding learning into our fun conversations. I always feel like I’m catching up with one of my friends. She uses a wide variety resources, and the tasks that she sets me are interesting. My Spanish skills have improved greatly with Mari! ¡Mil gracias!

Marisol is an excellent instructor, and my Spanish language ability has improved greatly under her teaching. She takes the time to explain concepts and teaches using a variety of mediums (textbook, audio, video, etc). I was nervous when I first started these lessons because it's been so long since I've used the language, but Marisol has given me so much confidence in my speaking skills and general understanding of the language. I've always felt encouraged with her teaching style, never frustrated. I'm looking forward to more lessons with Marisol in the future!
