I am a native English speaker hailing from London, England, with a passion for teaching and learning languages. My linguistic journey includes several years of studying Spanish and a background in French. These experiences have enriched my understanding of the challenges involved in mastering a second language. Currently residing in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after a stint in Santiago, Chile, I am a lover of travel, literature, culinary arts, and continuous learning. My approach is friendly, patient, and supportive, with a steadfast commitment to helping you achieve your language goals.

As a TEFL certified English teacher, endorsed by both Cambridge and IDP to teach IELTS, I bring over a decade of experience in teaching English to adults, both in traditional classrooms and online. My expertise lies in preparing students for the IELTS exam. Please note, my services are tailored to adults and I do not offer lessons to children.

Our initial lesson will focus on understanding your motivations for taking IELTS, your target band score, and identifying your strengths and weaknesses. This information will guide the creation of a personalised study plan designed to meet your unique needs. I offer a wide variety of materials to ensure our classes are not only educational but also engaging and enjoyable! In addition to IELTS preparation, I also offer General English classes, which are primarily conversation-based. These classes aim to enhance your fluency and boost your confidence in English communication. Whether you’re preparing for an exam or seeking to become a more confident English speaker, I’m here to support you!

Robert is the best English teacher I’ve ever had! I do enjoy lessons with him, they are really productive. I’ve been preparing for Ielts exam for a month with Robert and I feel an improvement in Speaking and Writing parts. During a lesson we do two or three speaking tests and after each answer we discuss mistakes. After the lesson Robert sends a file with mistakes which I’ve done, and explanations how to make the sentence correct. For writing part he usually sends me two questions (part 1 and part 2 on Ielts) and I send him my essays. Often on the same day or on the next one, he sends me a file, where he analyses each!!! sentence of my essay, writes every mistake, gives me a score which I would have on real exam and rewrite the essay with the same ideas on the band 9, so I can see the example of my ideal essay. If you want to be more confident in your ability to pass Ielts, just book a lesson with Robert)

I would highly recommend Robert to anyone who wants to prepare their IELTS speaking. Robert gives a very clear guide to each part of the speaking test, which helps a lot and improves your confidence. when you enter the real test room, you would know exactly what you should do. Having done these 11 lessons with Roberts, I definitely feel improvement in my speaking not only in practical skills but also in self-confidence. I did my very first IELTS speaking test today and I'm sure it would be great news!

Thank you, Robert:) I got a 7.5 in speaking. Despite not being an overtly outgoing teacher, Robert maintains an incredibly comfortable pace during lessons. His teaching style is highly adaptable, and his feedback is both professional and timely. Most importantly, he tailors the learning plan according to the student's needs. I highly recommend him for students with a certain level of proficiency in English who wish to practice IELTS speaking and writing.
