Hailing from Kerala, India, I spent my early years in the United Arab Emirates before relocating to the United States for higher education. I pursued a four-year undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering at a university in Silicon Valley. Due to the global pandemic, I made the decision to discontinue my studies and transitioned to Australia, where I successfully completed a Certificate III in Business. My multicultural upbringing and technical academic background shape my teaching methodology, emphasizing practical language acquisition for professional growth and daily communication.عني كمعلّم
I have received a "STATEMENT OF APPRECIATION" from the Adult Migrant English Program Volunteer Tutor in Australia for my commitment to my students' successful settlement by providing one to one English tuition. I help newly arrived immigrants in Australia to learn English so that they can integrate into the English speaking community.
I completed an ESL (English as a Second Language) Teaching Fundamentals course where I learned teaching techniques, types of lessons and principles of lesson planning.
I like to blend in different pedagogies with my students. As soon as I learn a new teaching method, I try to benefit my students with it. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I start my lessons with learning goals. I try to understand the students' objective in learning the language. Then, we discuss on which aspects of the language they want to focus on (conversations/reading/writing). I give homework to help develop the relevant skills.
My lessons are mostly casual conversations that help the students improve their fluency and learn new vocabulary. I employ generative AI to enhance the lessons.
For beginner students, I like to find out out the students' interests and start a conversation on this topic. I use body language and write down unfamiliar words to make it easier for them to understand.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس
