Hi! I’m a UK native with a background in finance (Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Bank of America). I also spent over five years in China studying Mandarin, so I truly understand the ups and downs of learning a language.
I’m TEFL-qualified with additional certificates in Business English and Exam Preparation. I've successfully helped many adult learners improve their speaking skills, pass job interviews and tests (IELTS), and build confidence using English in everyday and professional situations.
I’m known for being patient and supportive, always keeping lessons relaxed and enjoyable. Outside of teaching, I love spicy food, hiking, cycling and travelling.

I'll support you by correcting your grammar and pronunciation, and teaching you natural, native vocabulary, phrases and idioms. Whether it's general speaking, Business English or preparing for tests like IELTS, I've got you covered!

I offer four class types:
1. Intermediate to advanced level conversation practice.
I can help you by correcting mistakes, suggesting new phrases, vocabulary and idioms, and helping you improve your pronunciation or British accent.
2. Business English classes
From CVs, cover letters and interviews to networking, negotiating and presenting, I can help you to get ahead in an English business environment.
3. Test preparation classes
I can help you prepare for IELTS, TOEFL and other English tests, and have helped many students achieve their goals.
4. Language essentials / freeform class

This was my first lesson and I really enjoyed it. The teacher was very patient and adjusted well to my level—I could understand everything clearly.
