Hi everyone, my name is Jane. I've worked as a primary school Chinese teacher for ten years and have been a Chinese teacher in Italki for more than five years. This experience indicates that I am:
- Good at PinYin teaching. I can use five lessons to help you grasping PinYin.
- Sensitive to pronunciation.Use unique methods to improve your pronunciation.
- Excellent in spoken language teaching. well teaching structure makes you speak enough.
- Rich writing experience. I've published hundreds of articles in TV and newspapers as well as magazines

I am a Chinese Mandarin native speaker and a Chinese language teacher certified by the Ministry of Education of China. In addition, I also have a Spoken Chinese Proficiency Certificate issued by the State Language Commission certifying that I speak standard Mandarin without any regional accent. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience with well over 8,000 hours of teaching time. For a period of 15 years I was also employed as a TV Station reporter which greatly enhanced my writing and speaking skills. As a primary school teacher my focus was on proper pronunciation and I employed a specialized object teaching method. Additional teaching methods included the use of flash cards, pictures and prop teaching, making learning Chinese easy and fun for all students of all ages. In my course students will be given ample opportunity to practice and reinforce what they learn in class. My motto is that practice makes perfect. My goal is to develop every students' learning skills and abilities through guided and open practice with lots of feedback and specific analysis. My main goals were to improve my pronounciation and increase my vocabulary and I am glad to have found Jane老师. She is such a sweet teacher, very patient and helpful, providing specific training exercises on the areas I struggle with. After a few lessons I feel that my confidence has increased, I can hear a bit better the different tones (I consider myself slightly tone deaf) and I am learning so much more vocab and cultural things about China which is very interesting!
Honestly, if you struggle with tones (hearing and being able to pronounce them) then I thoroughly recommend Jane老师！

Jane 老师 is a gem of a teacher. Incredibly patient, unfailingly cheerful, always easy to talk to. Her explanations always make sense, and she goes the extra mile for her students. She's a great teacher who designs her course for your needs. I always look forward to our class every week! Highly recommended.

Jane is the best teacher I've ever had. I consider her a friend and almost like family...my Chinese mother! I came to Jane after completing HSK4 and she has helped me successfully obtain the HSK 5 and HSK 6 certificate. I am extremely grateful for all her help and am so happy to have met her. Her work experience as a teacher and journalist, deep knowledge of chinese culture, openness to other cultures, strong work ethic, kindness and patience make her not just a superb teacher, but also a lovely person. I also spent spring festival with Jane and her family last year which was a fantastic experience and I was truly made to feel like one of the family. I can not recommend Jane highly enough, you would be crazy to choose any other teacher! Thank you again for everything ❤️.
