I am TEFL certified and have many years experience of teaching children and adults both online and face-to-face. I have worked in schools in China, Cambodia and Vietnam. I used to be an Occupational Therapist. Therapy and teaching have a great deal in common and all my experience in therapy has come in really handy. I loved helping the Chinese children (aged 5-16 years old) to develop their confidence and speaking and listening skills in the classroom. From April 2018 I taught children (aged 5-16) and adults online. From January 2020 until March 2022 I was in Vietnam, teaching children and adults online and in the classroom. I believe it is best when teaching online to work on speaking and listening. I think that very young children learn best through play and that is very difficult to achieve online. I now work with students (B1 intermediate level and above) and the content is very much focused on the interests of the student. I ensure that my lessons are fun and dynamic and interactive and that the speaking and listening is 50/50. I make a few notes as we go along so that towards the end of the session the student and I can set very specific goals for the student to work on between lessons and I follow that up with some written communication to the student so that the goals are clear and achievable.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس
