I have many interests and I find something new to learn about every day!
Some of my hobbies and interests are:
- learning languages
- playing the piano
- playing the guitar
- trampolining
- riding the unicycle (see my video)
- yoga
I love to travel and I've lived in Spain, Peru, Vietnam, Indonesia and Ethiopia. I've visited many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. I also love to hear, from my students, about places that I haven't been to and how people live in those places.

My two academic interests have always been languages and science.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Neuroscience and I worked in online medical education for two years, but I wanted to spend more time speaking with people, so I decided to become an English teacher. I studied for the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) so that I could become a good teacher, and then I taught English in Vietnam for one year. I have four types of lesson that you can choose from.
The 'Conversation Practice' lessons are 100% conversation. Here, you will get great experience in natural conversation to increase your fluency. We will correct your most common errors, to increase your accuracy.
In the 'Conversation Through Fun and Games' lessons, we will play games and perform role-play activities, to improve your everyday conversation skills.
My 'Grammar Focus' lessons focus on grammar, but also improve reading, listening and speaking. By the end of the lesson, you will be more confident, and using the grammar in conversation.

CELTA (Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) - Cambridge English Language Assessment - 2017I created thorough lesson plans and taught eight lessons to small groups of adults. I also completed four assignments about teaching theory. I received a Pass B, meaning that I exceeded the expectations of the course administrators.
The certificate gives me the essential skills and knowledge I need to teach English to adults and older teenagers.

As always, it's been very fun and useful! David is one of the best language teachers I've had - he's very supportive, and his positive attitude really helps to relax and enjoy every lesson as if it's a conversation with a friend. He always finds a way to make lessons more interesting and engaging: one moment you play a guessing game, then you read a poem together, and end up on YouTube watching music video of Billy Eilish - all of which is to work on a particular issue you might have - whether it's speaking, pronunciation, or general comprehension. David always takes notes, corrects gently, and makes sure that over the course you repeat and remember all the things he's noted. I definitely recommend David if you're looking to improve your level of English. Looking forward to the next one!

I have been studying with David for years and he's always been supportive and encouraging. The way he could teach you will grant you tangible advancements and a lot of laughs. To me, the latter aspect is fundamental, since learning should at least be fun, a pleasure. That's how I see my journey in the language. A mix of proficiency and humour. Thanks, David!
