Hi, my name is Hugo and I am originally from Mexico. I am a professional teacher who is bilingual in English and Spanish. I believe in having fun while learning. I am passionate about the challenges of teaching and helping my students grow. I love making grammar fun and helping students solve their language problems in and out of the classroom.
Outside of class, I do sports such as freestyle jump rope and football (soccer). I also travel to different countries to experience their culture, food, and languages. One of the things that I enjoy most is analyzing languages and how they function.عني كمعلّم
I have taught English and Spanish for 11 years now. I love going deep into grammar and vocabulary. I also enjoy helping students with test preparation. I even do the exercises while I have coffee!
I like to teach functional language based on the student's needs. I started my career teaching children, but now I only teach adults. That's because my classes are more fun when I can discuss my student's grammar problems on a higher level.
I was lucky to have excellent teachers who inspired me in my career. Like Mr. Ramos, whose passion and enthusiasm made the lessons enjoyable and fun. He always explained things with a smile, and I aim to be that kind of teacher every day.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I like to involve the student in the learning process by asking better questions. I also make sure they practice the lessons learned immediately with fun, interactive exercises. I leave all corrections for the end of class. This lets my students speak with confidence and have a more dynamic class.
I make grammar fun by using famous movie scenes to study grammar in context. Modal verbs in 'Alive', conditionals in 'Benjamin Button', and phrasal verbs in 'Back to the Future' are some of my favorites. I also love the challenge of creating custom lessons for my regular students based on their interests.

Language TeacherThis was my first experience teaching adults, teaching one-on-one, teaching test preparation courses for FCE and CAE, and teaching online. I learned how to work with books, projectors, and presentations. Most importantly, I learned how to transition to online teaching.

Language TeacherAt this institution, I was surrounded by a much higher quality of teachers and I learned a lot working alongside them when it comes to teaching adults and helping them prepare for official exams.
2022 - 2022

It’s been a particularly elated moment having a chitchatting with him,besides,he seems to be roundly poised for class with an array of questions that’s imbued with a ton of idiomatic expressions on topics you have on mind.Full disclosure/icing on the cake for Chinese students being that he doesn’t appear to be quite familiar with the life in china,fill in him on almost every aspects of your personal life,thus,if you feel like it, very accommodating ,squarely breaking his back rectifying my tiny mistakes

Awesome first lesson! Hugo had a perfect plan for today, making me speak as much as possible with the help of some written notes. A guided conversation class is what I asked for and it's exactly what I got. I'm exhausted and happy :)

“tus deseos son órdenes”this maybe all i want to say.Hugo do make my classes more private customized.He always be like a guide and i am the ’leader’, And i do think this is the best part cause in this way i can study at my own pace and decide what to learn. Besides having class with Hugo is really interesting.Maybe it’s the way he explains things or maybe it’s the material he uses . I can’t figure it out exactly but it’s wonderful!Have a try and you will find out he is totally worth it!
