Je m'appelle Karine, j'ai 31 ans et je suis née à Montréal.
Le français est ma langue maternelle, mais je parle aussi anglais. J'ai étudié la linguistique à l'UQAM pour pouvoir devenir professeure de français. Je suis passionnée par les langues, et j'ai appris l'espagnol et l'allemand par le passé. Maintenant, j'essaie d'apprendre le portugais du Brésil... Dans le futur, je voudrais aussi parler italien et coréen. Sinon, mes autres passions sont le voyage, la lecture, les jeux vidéos, la musique, la cuisine.

J'ai fait un baccalauréat en linguistique, et en tant que professeure certifiée en français langue étrangère, j'ai eu l'opportunité d'enseigner le français à tous les niveaux et dans divers contextes.
Ces expériences m'ont permis de développer une grande adaptabilité envers mes apprenants et de créer un environnement propice à leur apprentissage.
I completed a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, and as a certified teacher in French as a foreign language, I have had the opportunity to teach French at all levels and in various contexts.

For all levels, I will concentrate on communication, but of course, I will teach the grammar points to help express yourself. Because of my formation, I prefer teaching you the French that is spoken by the francophone and not the one in grammar books that is becoming more and more outdated.
I usually separate my lessons in 3 sections (except for the conversation class) :
✔️ Grammar lesson (new or revised one).
✔️ Practice through communication (conversation, roleplay, simulation).

البكالوريوس - LinguistiqueLinguistique appliquée à l'acquisition des langues étrangères (Baccalauréat - 3 ans).
J'ai développé plusieurs compétences en enseignement du français langue seconde. J'ai eu des cours qui me permettent aujourd'hui d'enseigner les quatre grandes compétences en français.
De plus, ma formation en linguistique me permet d'avoir une approche plus descriptive de l'enseignement avec des cours comme : Phonétique appliquée à l'apprentissage des langues.
J'ai aussi réalisé un stage en enseignement.

Another excellent, well-planned, well-structured lesson. As always, Karine had a particular point of grammar to teach, review, and then topical questions / conversation designed to elicit the grammar we’d just covered in my (attempts at ) spoken french. So easy to talk to and so kind and easygoing about answering questions about points of French I don’t understand that we encounter along the way. Merci encore Karine!

I've been taking French lessons with Karine for about five months now and I feel I've made good progress under her tutorage. Her classes are always excellent and I really enjoy them. She's organized, her lessons are well structured, she explains everything very clearly, responds to my needs, is really responsive and very open to any questions I have. She is also a generally lovely, warm, and approachable person overall. I could not recommend her more highly!

Karine est une excellent professeure. Son cours sont très bien organisés avec des sujets de discussion intéressants et pertinents. Elle est très patiente et donne toujours des explanations claires et des retours (feedback) très utile.
