Hello from Hollywood! 🎬 I’m a professional actor, director, and accent coach helping global professionals—especially in IT, medicine, and business—master clear, confident American English. I'm a native English speaker, trained at UCLA (English major, Acting minor), I’ve coached actors in LA to land roles by refining their accents. Now, I bring that Hollywood-level precision to your fluency goals! As a world-traveling performer and language learner (French, Spanish, Russian, and a little Chinese!), I get the challenges of sounding natural. I have been teaching most of my life. My mother is an English teacher and my father has his PhD in physics. My two sisters are professors. Teaching is a primary profession in our family.
I first taught SAT exam preparation to Chinese students in New York. Then I taught English for Berlitz, in Santa Monica and in Puerto Rico, and at ELS Language Centers.
My teaching here at Italki is very flexible. I'm great at getting people to speak in English while I make corrections in the moment. This works very well, especially if you record the session. My students improve quickly!

I enjoy teaching English and helping students speak with confidence and clarity. My focus is conversational English, with clear correction and simple explanations so you understand why mistakes happen. This supportive, structured approach is the same technique my Russian teacher uses on italki.

Highly enjoyed my first lesson with Peter. I was afraid that the sound quality would hinder the process of learning, but Peter is very sensitive to sound and manages to discern the tiniest differences in your accent. He used word pairs to show the difference in sound, which I found very helpful. He also gave some advice on how to better connect with the listener and improve the quality of your voice overall. Can't wait for our next lesson!

Just had a wonderful trial lesson with Peter. We discussed the goals, I got some diagnostics on my weak points, and a little research homework at the end. So I am ready to keep my lifetime journey of working on reducing my Russian accent.
