After studying foreign languages at the University of Bordeaux, I became a primary school teacher. I taught young French pupils for 25 years, starting in small rural schools in the Bordeaux region.
Today, I teach French to adults on Italki, using a conversational approach to make learning enjoyable and effective. My lessons are designed for learners with at least an A2 level who want to improve their speaking skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Sports in general, cooking and reading are my main interests. I was a high-level fencer. I traveled with my sailboat on the Mediterranean several summers. I practiced pastel drawing for a few years.
I’m calm, patient, and attentive, with an open mind and a good sense of humor. I focus on clear pronunciation and encourage you to interrupt whenever something isn’t clear—I’ll always be happy to repeat or explain differently.
During our conversations, I write new words, expressions, and corrections in the chat. After each session, you’ll receive a personalized summary with explanations and examples to help you review.
We can talk about everyday life, current events, or any topic you enjoy. I can suggest materials like articles or pictures, or we can use your own. We can also include role-play, quizzes, and vocabulary games, depending on what suits you best.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Perfect blend of fun, flexibility, and focused learning! I chose Myriam because her class description looked like a perfect match for what I needed: pronunciation practice, vocabulary expansion, and using natural and appropriate expressions. And that’s exactly what she provides! Her warm & approachable style made me feel comfortable and allowed me to easily dive into conversations about everyday life and topics of my choosing. She identifies pronunciation and article issues and corrects them in a way that feels encouraging rather than critical. Her focus on natural and appropriate expressions is helping me sound more fluent and confident, which is one of my main goals. The personalized new vocabulary and corrections she sends after each session are invaluable for reviewing and building on what I learned. Overall, Myriam’s program is a perfect blend of fun, flexibility, and focused learning. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to take their conversational French to the next level.

My lessons with Myriam involve conversations. There are no prepared texts, no studying and no homework. We talk about subjects that arise naturally, although if I have questions about French usage I have encountered during the week we discuss that. Our conversations are always interesting. I look forward to speaking with Myriam each week. My level of conversational French has risen considerably since I began to meet with Myriam. I am comfortable speaking French now, although I was not so comfortable when I began my studies with her. Thank you, Myriam!
