I'm a native English speaker from New York City, and I recently moved back to the NYC area from Spain, where I was living for the past seven years!
I'm fluent in Spanish, I'm an intermediate speaker of Italian, and I'm an absolute beginner in French and Farsi. As a language learner, I know how frustrating and nerve-racking it can be to learn a new language - that's why I love to help people from all over the world to learn both English and Spanish!
Outside of teaching, I enjoy dancing salsa, practicing yoga, hiking, and spending time near the ocean. I also love learning about different cultures, languages, and peoples. I hope to meet you soon and learn all about where you're from!عني كمعلّم
I believe the best way to learn and improve is by feeling comfortable and enjoying the process. In my classes, I do everything I can to make you feel relaxed, confident, and motivated to speak and ask questions.

All of my lessons follow the communicative approach, which means you'll be speaking as much as possible while I support and guide you.
Conversation Lessons: These include natural conversation and structured topics. I usually send a TedTalk, podcast, or video *before* the lesson, so we can use it as a base for our discussion. I provide corrections, feedback, and suggestions throughout the lesson.
Traditional Lessons: These are also conversation-based, but include homework, personalized goals, and a shared Google Doc or Notion page where we track vocabulary, useful phrases, grammar points, and corrections.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I love taking classes with Jessica! The conversations are super chill, and she keeps track of everything we learn, so we always know what to work on. If you go for the classes with homework, she sends plenty of material to keep you improving until the next session. Totally recommend her.

I always look forward to conversational lessons with Jessica. Thanks to her method I see great improvements in my speaking skills and also through the various podcasts and videos, which we talk about during the hour, I'm learning many new words I can immediately put into practice.

I recommend lessons with Jessica. Lessons are nicely organized, with interesting materials and topics, and at the end, we get a great document with a summary of the lessons, which makes it easier to review.
