Ciao! I'm a Milanese with a degree in foreign language literature and have a passion for linguistics.
I enjoy learning about other people's languages and cultures and I'm a language learner myself (so I know the struggle!).

I'm easy going and I value effort, so no need to stress. I generally don't assign homework for my conversation classes but if you'd like me to just tell me and I'll have something ready for you shortly after the lesson.

My lesson are centered on natural conversations. I'm going to help you find the best way to form sentences, expand your vocabulary and express ideas. The goal is to speak Italian as much as possible or even exclusively. We can let the conversation lead us or you can tell me in advance if you have specific requests for topics you'd like to explore.
I think making mistakes is the best way to learn so if you want I can send you a review sheet after the lesson.

It is always a pleasure to have a real authentic conversation with Flavia. She asks thoughtful questions that challenge me to use the grammar skills and vocabulary I have been previously exposed to. When I get stuck, she is patient and gives ample wait time for me to think and provides immediate feedback. I highly recommend Flavia as a tutor for all.

Flavia and I have completed almost 60 lessons together. She is a patient, kind, and expert Italian teacher.
Flavia is fluent in Italian and English, but we hardly ever talk in English in our lessons. She does a great job of tailoring the lesson to my skill level, and speaking in Italian as much as possible.
She is also great at increasing the difficulty level of the lesson as I have gained more experience with the language. She makes it just a little bit harder each time, by introducing new words or grammar concepts, that challenge me just enough, but still leave me feeling accomplished at the end of the lesson.
Lessons on iTalki are the number one reason for my improved ability to speak Italian, and I attribute most of that to Flavia and her incredible teaching skills.
If you are looking for an Italian teacher, don't hesitate anymore, choose Flavia!

Flavia spoke primarily in Italian. I tried my best and she gently corrected me. I really appreciate the use of chat so I could write notes of proper pronunciation or new words. She's just super nice and easy to get along with. She definitely listens well and wants to make sure I learn in the way that is comfortable to me. LOVE!
