My name is Amiel and I am the most amiable teacher you can find on italki! I teach English and Filipino (Tagalog) in a fun and effective way. I love traveling and enjoy learning languages and different cultures. Being a language learner myself, I understand the difficulties in learning a new language. I've been a teacher for 15 years, both in a classroom setting and online. Over the years, I have had wonderful opportunities teaching diverse group of students from different countries. I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson, which accommodate various levels, bring a hands-on approach to learning, and keep students interested and focused. My lessons are based on the skills and interests of my students. I assess my student first, talk about his/her goals in learning the language then decided on which materials to use. After each lesson, I give assessment and commend every progress made. A copy of the lesson is sent before and after the class to make sure that he/she can prepare and review the topics discussed. Teacher A is great with my three boys! They have had a couple of lessons with him now and each time they learn more and review what they have learned in the previous lessons. He is engaging and patient with my kids!

Teacher A was great with my 8 yo son. They had a very engaging and dynamic lesson, my boy was totally focused on a teacher and his tasks. They did everything- speaking, reading, drawing, show and tell. My son enjoyed the class and said that he wants to continue studying with Teacher A
