My name is Joanna and I am a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil. If you are looking for someone to practice conversation in Portuguese with, you’ve found the right person! I like talking about many different topics, such as books, films, food and music. I would also love to know more about your country and your culture.

I'm very patient and it's okay to make mistakes whilst you are learning. However, I will sometimes correct you or provide you with a more natural way to express yourself.

Joanna is a terrific tutor. She is very easy to talk to, and I feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes in her class. Joanna has a talent and a reporter's mind for asking the right questions to prompt discussion. She puts a lot of thought into her responses and makes sure to ask if there's anything she can do to help. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs to practice Portuguese!

Joanna is an amazing teacher! We talk about various topics each time we meet and she helps me with my errors as we talk. The conversations are engaging and I have a lot of fun. She also speaks English at an advanced level and can explain something in English if needed.
