Hello， My name is Fanfei. I love travelling and meeting people. I was born in China, after graduated in University I went to New Zealand to continue my study and then work there for about 8 years. returning to China Shanghai , where a job giving me the opportunities traveling around the world and meeting people from different culture background.
I have bachelor degree in both microbiology and business management. However my passion is teaching Chinese. At the beginning I only teached Chinese to my foreign friends as a hobby. Gradually they commended more and more students to me , as a result I obtained my teaching certificate, and start teaching Chinese professionally.عني كمعلّم
I am a patient and supportive teacher. I am good at explaining terms and things in a simply clear way, so my student can easily comprehend them. In addition to my native Chinese, I also speak good English and a little French.
Whether you already have some knowledge in Chinese or are a complete beginner, we will work together to reach your goal(s).

Generally I offer the following four kinds of lessen :
➡️Conversational Chinese ( for adults and teenages who want to be able to use Mandarin in daily life, or want to use Mandarin when travel to China or work in China. )
➡️HSK 1-6 (for those who who want to pass an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency Test (HSK), or for those who want to speak Chinese as well as to read Chinese)
➡️ Fun Chinese for Kids: (for kids ages between 6-12 years old)
➡️Chinese and Chinese Cultures : ( For those who has already have some Mandarin foundation, want to explore more about Chinese and Chinese Cultures such as Taiji, Chinese Medicine, poems , philosophy etc.)موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Lessons usually begin with a conversation where I am encouraged to speak by responding to questions about what I have been doing or plan to do. This invariably involves learning new words or phrases or talking about some aspect of Chinese culture or the culture of my country. We then cover the homework. We then move forward into new material or revision. Lessons are always pleasant and the learning experience has been very fulfilling.

Fanfei recognizes my strengths and encourages me to be confidant, while also noting my weaknesses and curating my lessons and homework specifically to them. Since starting lessons with my Fanfei my vocabulary, confidence, and understanding of the language has greatly improved.

I’m so happy with how much Chinese I’ve learned while working with Fan Fei. She is always calm and positive, even when we run into technical difficulties. I love how she turns these moments into learning opportunities, using them to expand my vocabulary!

I always look forward to my lessons with Fan Fei. She starts each session by having me talk about what’s going on in my life, which makes learning feel natural and engaging. I appreciate her clear expectations and the structured, predictable lesson format. Fan Fei is always calm and patient—she never gets frustrated, even when I struggle to understand a concept or make the same mistake repeatedly in my homework. Her supportive approach makes learning Chinese both enjoyable and effective!

I always leave my lessons with Fan Fei in a great mood. I especially enjoy when she takes the time to explain cultural events from the Chinese calendar, making the language come alive beyond just words. She also does a wonderful job of clarifying cultural differences whenever they come up in my homework or during our lessons. Her insights add so much depth to my learning experience.
