I have been an ESL teacher and tutor in Canada, at Queen’s University, and a private tutor and high school volunteer teacher in Hong Kong.
I have been an italki member since 2007.
I am Canadian.
Canadians learn and use British and American English every day.
Canadians have a neutral English accent
I have trained 35,000 business and company managers, supervisors, and employees in the field of occupational health and safety.
As an ESL Teacher on italki, I have trained hundreds of adults to improve their writing and speaking business-related English skills, plus English Exam Preparation.
I have also trained many students to become competent trainers, presenters, speakers, and instructors.عني كمعلّم
My primary goal when assisting a student is to identify the student's needs and goals.
The goal is to identify exactly what the student wants to improve.
Then, together with the student, we develop a simple study plan that is designed to help the student reach their goals.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My lessons usually last longer than one hour, but there is no extra charge for the extra time.
My goal is to help the student improve, so if we are making progress, I am happy to spend more time with my student.
I provide my students with many helpful documents that explain how to learn and use good grammar and use the correct vocabulary, as well as developing a higher level of vocabulary.
We use writing assignments to help improve writing skills. If the student develops better writing skills, their speaking skills will automatically improve.

Richard is a great teacher and very good person. We are having classes about how to conduct training sessions and besides to learn new terms in English, I am learning a lot of tips, materials needed, important topics and information to consider before giving a training. He has a lot of materials to help in the classes, but the more significant is his experience in this area, which he has a lot.
His method of teaching is very good, he understand your difficulties and teaches better ways to improve your speaking.
I highly recommend his classes and look forward to have the next one!

Mr Richard is the most kind person I ever met on any online learning platforms. His class is well-paced, comfortable and fun. This was the tenth lesson with Richard, the route is long because I started as begginer and I have no time every day to study.
Yesterday Richard take me an advise: 15 minutes, take every day 15 minutes to study english ... and after few time, probably you would like take another 15 minutes, so 30 minutes por day and so on.
This morning the first thing that I did, is was take 15 minutes.
Thank you Richard, I appreciate sharing your passion for english.
