I had a lovely trial lesson with Aoi-sensei. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was very patient with me and the conversation flowed nicely. She corrected my mistakes and helped me with vocabulary and grammar in a way that encouraged the conversation so I came away from the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking. We covered goals for future lessons and she spoke at a speed and vocabulary level that was easy for me to understand without feeling patronising. She provided me with a list of vocabulary and grammar points at the end of the lesson so that I can practice my mistakes. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson with Aoi-sensei!

I've been doing weekly lessons with her for three and a half months now and my Japanese has progressed so much. She is very patient, kind and funny. She sends me a list of vocabulary we talked about in the lesson as well as any mistakes that I made with the corrections so that I can learn from them. She is easily able to keep the conversation flowing and engaging. I look forward to speaking with her every single week. Aoi is an excellent teacher! She's really good at explaining; it's detailed and clear. Even though we were out of time, she took the extra time to explain and made sure that I didn't leave the lesson with any unanswered questions. She's very patient and cheers you on, so you'll never feel discouraged! It feels more like you're having a conversation with a friend than a lesson, which I really enjoy!

Aoi-sensei is so patient and kind. I'm very nervous in my lessons and make so many mistakes, and she always tells me it's okay. I highly recommend her for all Japanese learners!
